Description:
Grant took Richmond on April 3, which was the final blow to Lee's Army. On April 9, he surrendered at the Appomattox Courthouse. Confederate troops were then forced to take an oath of loyalty to the US. The terms of surrender were very lenient towards the South.Ajouté au bande de temps:
