Description:

Major Dunlap led his cavalry to Long Canes and plundered the home of Patriot Lt. Col. James McCall. His men ambushed Mrs. McCall and their daughter, but his biggest mistake was burning the farm of Andrew Pickens. After Major Dunlap burned Andrew Pickens home and his crops he notified Lt. Col. John Harris Cruger at Ninety Six that he considered his parole had been violated. He took to the field and became a significant enemy for the British in the South Carolina upcountry
