Description:
BG Marion began the first of several attacks against the British in Georgetown. The advance party of Lt Col Horry engaged Maj Micajah Gainey's Tories about two miles from town in a running skirmish. When BG Marion entered Georgetown, the Loyalist were well fortified in a redoubt around the brick jail. BG Marion determined the fortificaton to strong and reteated.Ajouté au bande de temps:
