16 nov 1781 - Capt Thomas Radcliffe Killed
Description:
Loyalist Capt Thomas Radcliffe was sent to Mount Willing to harrass local residents. After leaving Mount Willing a band of local Patriot without leadership pursued Radcliffe. They surprised Radcliffe's force about five miles after crossing the swollen Saluda River. Patriots killed several Loyalist including Capt Radcliffe and the remainder dispersed.Ajouté au bande de temps:
