10 sept. 1780 - Maj James' House Burned

Description:

British Maj James Wemyss went to the home of Patriot Maj John James. Wemyss told Mrs James if her husband surrendered, he would be pardoned. Mrs James stated she had no influnece over her husband so she and her children were locked in a room for two and one half days with out food or water. After that they were removed and the house was burned.
