18 juin 1775 - The last Royal Governor arrived in Charles Town

Description:

The last Royal Governor, Lord William Campbell arrived in Charles Town. He did not recognize the Provincial Congress and called for a Common House of Assembly. Disgusted he dissolved the General Assembly and fled to a British ship in the harbor.
