27 avr. 1781 - Gen Greene's discipline of deserters at Rugeley's Mill

Description:

After Gen Greene's defeat at Hobkirk Hill (Camden), he withdrew to Rugley's Mill for seven days. Five of his militia had deserted to the British but were recovered. To make an example of the deserters, Greene had them hung which almost started a munity as the militia was not use to strict discipline.
