Description:

Patriot Lt Roger Gordon commanding a scouting party patrolling along Lynches Creek, stopped at a tavern for provisions and refreshments. A large force of Tories surrounded the tavern and set it afire. Lt Gordon requested quarter and when they exited the tavern and layed down their arms, the Tories executed the entire patrol.
