Description:

A large ship bound from Havana, Cuba loaded of rum, sugar and other goods was run ashore northward of Bull's Island. The ship began taking on water and the sugar was lost. With the assistance of the Continenal ship Ranger and tender Eagle, most of the rum was recovered.
