7 déc. 1941 - Japan Attacks Pearl Harbor
Description:
After an economic war with the U.S., Japan decided to attack Pearl Harbor, a home for many undefended naval facilities and airfields. America didn't believe that Japan would start a war, or that they would attack Pearl Harbor--American officers believed that if the Japanese were to attack, they would attack a more populated area. When the Japanese attacked, they destroyed about 20 ships, 300 airplanes, docks, and airfields. There were 2,403 people killed and 1,000 wounded. The attack finally drew the U.S. into declaring war on Japan, and then Italy and Germany declaring war on the United States.
