Surendranath Banerjee
Dismissed from the Indian Civil Services for misrepresenting age.
REsorted to teaching and formed Indian National Association in calcutta.
Later went on to become the president of congress twice.
Main pillar of moderates in congress who lost prominence overtime.

He left Congress after the Montagu-Chelmsford reforms of 1919 because he supported the reforms rather than Gandhi's non-cooperation. In 1919, he accepted a knighthood from the British.
