1 oct. 1781 - Skirmish at Vince's Fort

Description:

Vince's Fort was an outpost on Steel Creek guarded by Capt. Joseph Vince and eighty (80) militiamen. It was located on" the Three Runs", a branch of the Savannah River. A guard detail of fourteen men was attacked by a larger group of Loyalists. One of Capt. Vince's men was killed, but they were able to drive the Loyalists away.
