There is no know official record of an April 1781 skirmish at Four Holes Bridge or swamp. The following Patriots who participated in the Jul 1781 taking of the Four Holes Bridge state the April skirmish occurred in their pension statements. Hampton's Regiment of Light Dragoons (Militia) Lt Col Henry Hampton, New Acquisition District Regiment of Militia, Col William Bratton, Camden District Regimetn of Militia, Col Thomas Taylor, Capt Jacob Frazer, Capt Anderw Leter, Capt John Robertson, Capt Thomas Starke, Fairfield Regiment of Militia, Capt Amos Davis, Capt Charmal Durham, and Capt Aramana LIles.
