Description:
Gen Francis Marion pursued Brtitish Col Welbore Boyle to Witherspoon's Ferry. The British crossed Lynches River burning the ferry. A skirmish ensue with forces facing each other on opposite banks of the river. Marion moved five miles up river to ford and then chased Doyle towards Camden.
