20 janv. 1781 - Lee's Creek Skirmish

Description:

After the Battle of Cowpens, Lord Cornwallis marched north in an attempt to catch Gen Morgan and his British prisoners. Bands of Whigs followed Cornwallis' army harassing them to slow their progress. Two British officers in the rear guard stop to make breakfast along Lee's Creek and were captured by Jimmy Johnson and Capt John Mills. The two prisoner were later exchanged for eleven Chester County militia men.
