1 déc. 1971 - First Nations People Counted in Census 1971 Due to the Indigenous referendum that granted the first nations people to be treated equally and fairly in 1971 they were finally counted in the Census. They were counted in the population treated fairly and this was another big step in their lives as they were slowly being treated as equal citizens.
