The Battle of Fort Sumter began after President Abraham Lincoln decided to send supplies to the troops that were under siege. However, the delivery was intervened due to Confederate warships. The ships turned back the supply ships and opened a 34-hour bombardment on the Fort. After two days, the troops surrendered.
