Spoils of war were a good for the victorious and in the Battle of Kadesh and the Battle of Megiddo soldiers were rewarded with golden necklaces, bracelets, lands as tributes that were imposed on the defeated nations.
A sign of peace exchange of gifts would take place between the Pharaoh and the foreign king, usually resulting in Egypt's favor.
