Description:
Supreme Court case that dealt with access to public facilities (Jim Crow laws). The Supreme Court decided that the 14th Amendment allowed for the constitutional segregation of races, and that public facilities could be "separate but equal". This case gave constitutional legitimacy to Jim Crow laws until it was overturned by Brown V. Bd of Education in 1954.
