Description:

The Family Benefits (Home Ownership) Amendment Act 1969 extended the Family Benefit Capitalisation Scheme to include the purchase of existing homes.
In conjunction with capitalisation of the Family Benefit, many homeowners obtained mortgages through the State Advances Corporation.
