21 févr. 2001 - Housing Corporation Community Renewal programme - starts

Description:

The Housing Corporation Board approved the establishment of a Community Renewal Project in Christchurch (Aranui) and work began. The Aranui Community Renewal Project was expected to continue for about four years and was run on a partnership basis, between:
• Housing New Zealand Corporation;
• Christchurch City Council; and
• the Aranui community.
The Aranui Community Renewal Project aimed to enhance Aranui as a good place to live. The additional broad aims were:
• to broaden the capacity of the community to take greater ownership of Aranui's future;
• to improve the physical environment;
• to improve housing management deliver; and
• sustainability.
