1 janv. 1973 - Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act
Description:
The ANCSA is current law and acts as an alternative to reservation system in the Lower 48. It gave land ownership to 13 regional Native corporations. There is currently only 1 reservation in Alaska because of this. It was advocated for by Elizabeth Peratrovich and is generally regarded as having given Native Alaskans more control over their traditional lands, about 44 million acres.
