Janet takes him to Hillside Academy and helps him unpack in his dorm room where he meets his dorm friends, Dominic Johnson – also a new student – Sam Robinson and Tom Right. He takes an instant liking to Tom and Dominic but finds Sam too aggressive and much like some of his bullies at his old primary school.
