Description:
All the Dakota who were convicted are sent to Iowa, and then after 3 years, exiled. Meanwhile, the Dakota who are at Fort Snelling re sent out of Minnesota to reservations in other states. There is a federal law called the Dakota Expulsion Act which prevents Dakota from living in Minnesota and hasn’t been repealed even today.
