Bell Pottinger won a contract with Bahrain’s Economic Development Board in 2009. The brief was to attract investment to the country and promote it as a business-friendly haven. Bahrain Watch says the brief was “believed to be worth a seven-figure sum in pounds annually”.The Bahrain office was headed by former Tory PR man Matthew Gunther-Bushell.
