6 janv. 1837 - Samuel Morse proved that signals could be passed through wires. He used pulses of current to divert movement called 'electromagnet' which moved a marker to write down codes on striped pieces of paper. This drove to the invention of Morse Code. It was used by transmitting and receiving messages over long distances.
