1 janv. 1991 - ADAT

Description:

Alesis Digital Audio Tape is a magnetic tape format that recorded eight digital audio tracks on a Super VHS tape, the ADAT was announced in January in 1991 but the first recorders shipped a year later in February or March in 1992. You could synchronize up to 16 ADAT machines together to get a total of 128 tracks; even though this wasn’t the first to synchronize, ADAT were the first to do so with sample-accurate timing. However the bad thing about these tapes were that they would mess up and lot and chew the tape inside, so hours even days of recordings would be ruined.
