30 avr. 1856 - Rudolf Virchow
Description:
He pioneered the modern concept of pathological processes by his application of The Cell Theory to explain the effects of disease in the organs and tissues of the body. He concluded that diseases emerged from an individuals cells, instead of the organs or tissues in the body. He encapsulated his work in the epigram ‘Omnis cellula e cellula’ (All cells [come’ from cell), publishing it in 1855.
