Alamein 2 (Oct 23 - Nov 11 1942): The Second Battle of El Alamein, battled in the deserts of North Africa, is viewed as one of the definitive triumphs of World War Two. The Battle of El Alamein was principally battled between two of the extraordinary commandants of World War Two, Montgomery, who succeeded the excused Auchinleck, and Rommel.
