In 1951 Les Paul recorded “How High the Moon” along with Mary Ford, this track topped the billboard singles and was on the charts for nine weeks. The recording was a multi-layered recording which means he had band playing in the back however these were pre-recorded and each instruments was on a different record. These where then played back while Les Paul played guitar and Mary Ford sang on top of the track, in the video we watched we could hear that there was more than one voice singing in fact, there are multiple voices.
