31 déc. 1903 - Ida B. Tarbell-
The History of the Standard Oil Company
Description:
Tarbell, one of the most influential muckrakers, originally wrote for the Chautauquan, than later published a series of articles that formed the above book, exposing Rockefeller's corrupt practices that led to the creation of his oil monopoly. Reformist writers, especially their influence, was a change compared to the earlier Industrial Revolution, with women taking the lead in trying to improve society- and this idea continues into the Progressive and Modern eras.
