a monopoly is having the power to get rid of all the other competitions in that area of business so what james did is he could Grant these monopolies to some people to he gave that power to Buckingham and Buckingham would give it to people across the land that would then pay Buckingham which would then pay James in gratitude this would then fund the monarchy as an extra way of getting some cash but of the likes of the 3 mp Coke Bacon and Cranfield all fighting and wanting Buckingham Position of Power throughout Parliament what day did is they found out that Buckingham was illegally granting these in Monopoly to people to further gain the monarch so in their heads wanted to use that knowledge for one of them to get the power but what this did is it have this had strain on James and then later parilment made a law where James could no longer Grant Monopoly to as many people
