1 janv. 1000 - Solfege is invented
Description:
Theorist Guido of Arezzo invents solfage as a notational system using the first syllable of each line in the Gregorian Chant, Ut queant laxis. The first solfege used the following: ut, re, mi, fa, sol la.
In 1600, ut was changed to do and si was added to complete the diatonic scale. Si was changed to ti in 1800 by Sarah Glover to make every syllable start with a different letter
