Description:

Nixon ordered Attorney General Richardson to fire Archibald Cox, who was a special prosecutor who asked for the tapes. Richardson refused, then Nixon asked Deputy Attorney General to fire Cox, and he refused as well. The three of them either resigned or were fired.
