'In an email to clients, the Hong Kong-based division led by agency co-founder Piers Pottinger, said it would complete the move “in the coming days” and stressed “that our team in Asia, is and always has been, a separate legal entity from Bell Pottinger”.
The Asian arm’s statement said it had “been an extraordinary and difficult time” but that its business was “entirely ringfenced and solvent”.
It added: “Our teams are intact, we continue to serve our clients, and it is mostly business as usual.”
Explaining the rebrand, it said: “Klareco means clarity in Esperanto, the international language of hope and harmony.” '
