Bell worked for the Sheikh’s lawyers in 1991 during the BCCI (Bank of Credit and Commerce International) scandal, a job he says he got through a now-dead intermediary, David Young. Young was the Sheikh’s personal accountant. When Bell was diagnosed with colon cancer, Young secured the Sheikh’s personal suite for Bell at the Cromwell hospital.
