20 mai 1843 - Robert Remak: Cells are formed by other cells
Description:
Before Remak's descovery, it was thought through out the world by biologists that cells appeared spontaneously (Spontaneous Generation) by the nucleus or from bodily fluids. The nucleus was thought to be the embryo of the new cell. However, during the 1840's, Remak descovered that cells were formed from other cells. a single cell could divide into two single cells by also dividing the nucleus.
