Description:

President Truman orders the dropping of two nuclear bombs on Japanese targets. Truman and the other Allied leaders meet in Potsdam, Germany to discuss ending the war in the pacific. The allies warned Japan that great destruction would follow if they did not surrender, but Japan refused to stand down.
Significance - Germany was divided into 4 zones and each Allied country took reparations from them as needed. The German navy was also divided among the allies.
