Began September 1, 1939 and lasted till 1945 (the whole war). German U-boat Wolf-Packs attacked US owned supply ships across the North Atlantic. The US defended themselves with convoy system and improved radar capabilities.Significance - This conflict between Great Britain, the US, and German was the longest battle of WWII which cost tons of ships and money.
