Description:
This conference was held in Washington. The purpose of the conference was to head off naval races. They discussed the limit of building warships for some ten years and the Five Power Agreement was reached. The U.S, Britain, Italy, Japan and France would stop building these ships and also respect China's open door policy and recognize the country's sovereignty.
