Bloody race riots erupted in Washington D.C.; Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and other citiies. In Chicago, the rioting lasted for two weeks. It all started, because returning soldiers saw African Americans as a threat that would prevent them from returning to their old jobs.
