22 janv. 1905 - Bloody Sunday

Description:

This was a bloody massacre that occurred because of serious depression and oppression. Under the weak Nicholas II, fear and worry had grown in the Russian Empire. Georgy Apollonovich Gapon, a radical priest, led workers who demanded change to the Winter Palace of Nicholas II in St. Petersburg. The soldiers shot down the people leading to outrage and uprisings all over the country. The people were angry at the weak government and were upset that Russia was currently losing the war with Japan. The people were oppressed by the government and were sick of it. They were fed up with the government, and Bloody Sunday was the last straw for them. The people rioted all over the country, upset with the government.
