Description:
Background-
Earl Little was a renowned member of the U.N.I.A, or Universal Negro Improvement Association, serving as an elder since 1925. Little often would preach about the God given rights of black people, bringing attention towards his sermons from groups like the Ku Klux Klan. Little was found crushed by a trolley, officers speculating he fell on to the tracks. The unanimous conclusion today is that Little was thrown onto the tracks before the passing trolley, violently murdered.
Conclusion-
Encountering a struggling mother who failed to cope with the death of her husband, Louise Little was admitted to a mental institution as clinically insane (X attributes his mothers insanity to the fact that white social workers would consistently visit the house to find a reason to take her kids away from her, adding to her paranoia and anxiety). The aftermath that follows was a strained childhood where X moved from cities and family, never finding a place for himself until settling in Boston and becoming a street hustler. This was the prelude to X's relationship with whites and the motive he developed as he became an active leader in the Civil Rights Movement. As a result of the childhood X grew up in, his passion for his cause enabled him to create history in the movement.
