2 juill. 1964 - The Civil Rights Act of 1964 The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a bill that was passed that removed any racial discrimination laws such as Jim Crow laws. Not only did it remove racial discrimination laws, but, it also prohibited discrimination on the basis of sex and race in hiring, firing, and promotions. This was a massive victory for the Civil Rights movements and minorities altogether.
