15 juill. 1917 - Race riots in East St. Louis, Missouri
Description:
White workers went on strike from the Aluminum Ore Company. The company then replaced them with African Americans. This caused the white workers to lodge complaints against black migrations and as a result, some whites went as far as pulling black passengers off buses just to beat them. The NAACP would intervene in order to fight for rights.
