Harriet Tubman-Waa the leader of the underground railroad. She fought to abolish slavery and women's rights. She helped slaves escape from the farms they were on.
Frederick Douglas-He was a born slave in Maryland and he escaped to Massachusetts. He wrote an anti-slavery newspaper called "The North Star"
Harriet Beecher Stowe- She wrote Uncle Toms Cabin which showed how slaves were treated.
