Description:
Charlie died of a stroke while he was in his sleep at 88 years old. His funeral was two days later and he was buried at Corsier-sur-Vevey cemetery.Three months later grave robbers stole his coffin and held it for ransom in hopes his now-widow Oona would pay them to get it back. They were caught two months later and Charlie was reburied, this time in a reenforced concrete vault.
