"In the 3rd year of the reign of Belshazzar, a vision appeared unto me..."

Four prominentthings are brought to view for Daniel in this vision.
1. The Ram
2. The He-goat
3. The Little Horn
4. The 2300 (2400) days
The symbols of the Ram, Goat and Little Horn were explained to Daniel (8/20-25) but the 2300 days were not explained and thus he could not understand it (v 27). This then meant that Daniel could not place the setting of the whole vision, which made him faint and be sick for a while.

So when did the 2300-(2400) years begin and end?
