Description:
Homer Plessy was one-eighth African American. He was a successful man who was riding the white train. Someone had bribed the train driver to make a formal complaint for Plessy to ride the African American train. Plessy took this to court and made it to the state court and he was ruled against. This made the Jim Crow laws stronger and used the story of protecting the citizens black or white.
