When the (supposing) 7th billionth human was born, it created a landmark in the history of human population which may soon be completely forgotten. If there are now at least 7 billion living humans on the earth, then where does mankind go from there? Will the global population keep multiplying at unprecedented rates, overpopulating every last bit of the Earth, or will we run out of essential resources long before we hit that mark? And will governments establish birthing laws, that restrain from having more than 2 children? Or will they do something much more shameful and inhumane. Only time will tell.
